After leaving school, Matt started working for Whitely Village, with all on-site training. For 5 years, Matt maintained the grounds within the village and the surrounding woodland (340 acres of land), so he had his work cut out and learnt a huge amount of skills.
After 5 years with Whitely Village, Matt moved on to specialising in private garden maintenance, hard and soft landscaping, such as patio laying, decking, fencing, planting etc., before being offered to go into partnership with his father in 2012.
Since then Matt and Phil have worked together and have enjoyed seeing the business grow organically based on word-of-mouth recommendations and repeat customers.
In Matt's spare time, he likes to be outdoors. Having recently taken over a neglected allotment, which is now just about past its poor state. If Matt is not at his allotment, then you'll find him in his local pub with his niece's dog, Ratty (which Matt tends to borrow - he’s a little Chihuahua that won’t leave his side). And finally, Matt's other passion is going to gigs and festivals all over the UK.
